Definitions in terms of below consent
- Candidate shall mean the person completing this document and providing the required personal information.
- Student shall mean the person registered for a formal qualification with Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd.
- Personal Information shall have the meaning ascribed to it in Section of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPI”) and includes, but is not limited to, a Name, Address, Email Address, Telephone Number/s, Education records (including Health and Safety-related training records), Qualifications, Occupational Health Certificates, Legal Appointments, Permits to Work and Driver’s Licenses, or other personal credentials provided to Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd by the Student.
- Privacy and Data Protection Conditions” refers to the 8 (eight) Statutory-prescribed conditions for the lawful Processing of Personal Information.
Consent for the use of Personal Information
I hereby authorize Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd to process my personal information which I have provided to Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd in a lawful manner in line with the privacy and data protection conditions as laid out in the POPI Act.
I understand that Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd will only process my personal information for a legitimate business purpose, and such processing will be conducted with the appropriate security and data protection safeguards in place to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of my information.
I understand that my personal information will be stored by Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd for as long as there is a legitimate business purpose for the storage of such personal information and that I may request at any time for my personal information to be deleted from the Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd learner management system.
I understand that Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd will not under any circumstances provide, sell or disclose my personal information to any other Third Party.
I understand that Personal Information may be transferred cross-border to countries, only to the extent to which the recipient of the personal information is subject to binding law, binding corporate rules or binding agreement which provides adequate protection which is substantially similar to the lawful processing requirements as set out in the POPI Act.
I take note that if Compliance and Learning Center (Pty) Ltd has utilized the Personal Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions, I may first resolve any concerns with that Party. If I am not satisfied with such a process, I have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the Responsible Parties will be furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions of the POPI Act, and I understand that I may dispute any information in the record provided.
